Background

HCS was incorporated as Hagen Computer Systems, Inc. in 1983. From 1983 until late 1994, it did business as Entre Computer Center. In 1996, it entered the Web design business and began operating as HCS. Bob Hagen founded the company and serves as its president.

Prior to HCS, Bob grew up in Tucson and completed BS and MBA degrees at the University of Arizona. Upon graduation, he served in various computer project and line management positions with the Department of Energy in Albuquerque, NM.

Entre Computer Center was a computer networking products and services company primarly supporting major accounts. It was also a company that (thanks to the hard work and effort of a dedicated staff) was the Tucson Chamber's first small business of the year, Intelligent Electronics' national franchise of the year and won numerous sales and achievement awards with Compaq, HP, IBM and Novell.

In November 1994, Dataflex Corp. (a national networking company based in Edison, N.J.) acquired the assets and assumed the liabilities of Entre as part of a program to expand its operations in Arizona and California. Bob remained with the Dataflex office in Tucson as VP/GM for a one-year transition period.

In early 1996, HCS entered the Web consulting, design and development business. HCS now specializes in Web consulting, design, devlopment and hosting services for small to medium-sized businesses and nonprofit organizations.
